The anticipation is nearly six years in the making. Finally, Queens of The Stone Age are gearing up to release …Like Clockwork, their first album since 2007's Era Vulgaris, and they're stoking the fires of excitement with a new logo, an updated website and clips of new music for fans to lose their minds over.
Fans can hear new song snippets from selections off Queens of The Stone Age's forthcoming album, set to arrive this June, on QOTSA.com.
The album has a staggering roster of guests, from Elton John to Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl to Mark Lanegan, Nick Oliveri to Jake Shears. A barrage of mysterious messages tells of "running in a dream inside a codeine cabaret," and everyone involved in the production has spoken of the recording sessions with an air of reverence and secrecy. In short, we're in for one hell of a ride from rock's most dynamically disturbed heavyweights.
More Queens news is on its way, including details on a new drummer in the mix whose name hasn't been made public yet. The cat will undoubtedly escape the bag in the coming days, given that the band's return to the stage happens next weekend at Lollapalooza Brazil. We'll keep you posted!
